Breakin Out the Microspikes

I did just that on this morning's run. Ran the rail trail on Holden and its surrounding single track. Most of the single track was untouched and fun to run in (with minimal breakthrough of this thin crust). However, on the rail trail parts, the heavy foot traffic and the freezing/thawing temps had the trail a rutted out mess. Where are the snowshoers when you need them?? Felt good to run in the woods with some snow finally. Hopefully it sticks around. 6 miles in an hour.

Legs are tight from yesterday's weight session. Feels good to be sore again. It's been awhile.
