My family and I had a great week in the whites. We hiked, walked and ate a ton of ice cream. I, of course, ran quite a bit as well. I got in double runs on 4 out of the 9 days while we were up there and most of them went up a mountain.
I ran on roads, bike paths, hard packed service road, old fire road, tame trail and gnarly trail. I think I should encounter all of those in my upcoming 100 miler.
My legs feel stronger but a wee bit tired. So I've done some research and many people that attempt 100's take a two week "no running" taper. I think I may do this. Though, I might possibly get one run in, maybe this weekend, but nothing crazy.
