Running Blind

The clouds and rain parted just as Ben and I started out our run this morning. We hit the Rayburn single track for a bit then connected to the power lines to tackle "the hill". Ben lost/broke his headlamp and was using my old black diamond piece of junk to find his way. He commented that he "felt like Helen Keller running the trails".  A slow pace was had on the way out, but on the way back we picked it up. Daylight broke and our footing was a bit more visible. We both took some decent diggers however. I caught mine but I think Ben took quite a spill down a rocky downhill.

All said and done it was about 7.25 miles in an hour and 22 minutes. Good to get back to the trails with a day of rest under my belt.
